The Sign of Jed's Defeat

Jed had always considered himself as somewhat of a ladies man. He had been stumbling in and out of the local bars for years with a certain air of confidence. Confident until he me her…Stella. She was only in the area visiting some friends. A gorgeous brunette with stunning green eyes and curvy in all the right places. Being such a beautiful women, she was very familiar with guys like Jed. Unbeknownst to this fact, Jed sauntered over to throw his lines upon her thinking she would swoon but instead she gave him a firm and steady glance of disinterest and proceeded back to drinking her raspberry beer with her girlfriends.

This made Jed all the more determined. He would not, could not be denied.

For nearly a half an hour Jed waved his words like a master, all of which fell dead to the floor. The sheer number of refusals was mind boggling to poor Jed who was beginning to feel a little jaded. Lastly instead of a sweet nothing he offered an insult, probably because of his bruised ego. He proceeded to slide into her and ever so delicately whisper his next and final line. "Raspberry beer is a girly drink." Stella, being just about finished with her beverage and sick of that creepy pig Jed, slammed the lip of the pint into the side of Jed's face. The force of her thrust branded the glasses impression just above Jed's right brow. After seeing stars and several little birdies, down to the floor he went. Stella and her friends giggled a bit then left poor ol' Jed bleeding on the floor. Jed's friends began to laugh uncontrollably at his unconscious body. After all, they were a bit jealous at Jed's normal success with the ladies. When Jed came to he ran to the bathroom to view his face in the mirror. With horror...he read the sign of his defeat.

I have been trying to make multiples on my iPhone for a long time and
could never think of a good way to pull it off. Some cat by the name
of Ryan over at iphoneography.com told me about the mask feature on
DXP. It left a line right down the middle of the pic but Lo-Mob
allowed me to disguise that fairly well. I tried Juxtaposer but, I
haven't really mastered it yet. Does anyone out there know of a
different technique to pulling off this effect? Any input would be
great. I don't have PhotoShop so that will not work for me.

The original photo used by Jeff White to create this interesting image was not taken with an iPhone, so strictly speaking this is not iPhoneography, however it was processed on an iPhone using iPhone photo apps, and the original photo could have easily been taken with Jeff's iPhone.
What this photo does show however, is just what can be done with an iPhone and a range of apps, and a bit of imagination.
Photo 1: I started with a pretty simple self portrait on a white-ish background.

Photo 2: I made a simple black & white in ToonPAINT.

Photo 3: Staying in ToonPAINT, I painted the background red.

Photo 4: Photo 1 in DotCamera using 4/32/Grid On as the settings.

Photo 5: Photo 1 in StripeCam with horizontal stripes on the right half of the photo.
